Who Needs an ARN?
To work with CASA, each person or organization needs to have an Aviation Reference Number (ARN). This number acts like a customer or account reference when working with CASA. As a result, an Aviation Reference Number is needed for any official interaction. Additionally, having an ARN makes communication with CASA easier and keeps records well-organized.
The following entities, specifically, must obtain their own Aviation Reference Numbers:
- Chief Remote Pilot
- Maintenance Controller
- Companies, associations, or statutory bodies applying under their entity name
- All directors of a company listed on the application
Each legal entity receives only one Aviation Reference Number. However, CASA does not issue Aviation Reference Numbers to business names, consortiums, partnerships, or trusts. Instead, they are issued solely to single legal entities.
